Welcome to RKL Swims. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Use of Our Services

1.1 Eligibility
By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

1.2 Account Registration
To access certain features of our website, including parent portals and member-only content, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to keep your information up to date.

1.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

1.4 Website Membership & Portals
Members may gain access to additional features such as booking history, payment management, swimmer progress tracking, and class schedules via the RKL Swims member portal. Access is granted upon verified registration and is subject to approval.

2. Bookings and Payments

2.1 Booking
All bookings for swim lessons must be made through our website or approved external providers such as Soakly. By booking, you agree to our cancellation and rescheduling policies.

2.2 Payment
Payment must be made at the time of booking. We accept various forms of payment as outlined on our website.

2.3 No Refund Policy
All payments are non-refundable, except in the event that a lesson is cancelled by RKL Swims. No refunds will be provided for non-attendance, regardless of reason.

2.4 Rescheduling & Cancellation
You may cancel or reschedule according to our policy. For private sessions, at least 10 days' notice is required; otherwise, the full fee will be charged. Subscriptions must be cancelled 10 days before the next billing date.

2.5 Refunds (If Applicable)
Refunds are issued only if a session is cancelled by RKL Swims and no suitable rescheduling is possible. Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 10 working days.

3. Swimming Lesson Policies

3.1 Special Needs and Medical Information
Parents/guardians must inform RKL Swims of any relevant special needs or medical conditions prior to the start of lessons.

3.2 Hygiene
All swimmers must use the toilet and showers before entering the pool.

3.3 Arrival and Pool Entry
Swimmers should arrive poolside shortly before their lesson and must wait for their teacher's instruction before entering the water.

3.4 Parental Responsibility
Parents/guardians are responsible for children in changing areas and must remain on-site during lessons.

3.5 Lesson Disruption
Parents/guardians should not communicate with swimmers during lessons. Spectating is only permitted in designated waiting areas. No poolside spectators allowed.

3.6 Attire and Equipment
Jewellery must not be worn in lessons. Goggles may be requested to be removed during specific activities by the swim teacher.

3.7 Lesson Completion and Placement
Lessons must be completed within the term unless a valid medical note is provided. Swimmers are placed based on ability, assessed by our teaching team. No refunds or transfers will be provided due to placement disagreements.

3.8 Private Lessons
Full payment is required in advance. A full 10-day notice is needed for cancellation or rescheduling.

4. Additional Policies

4.1 Photography
Photography by parents is not permitted. Instructors may take photos or videos only with prior written consent from parents/guardians.

4.2 Lost Property
RKL Swims accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged items left in the changing rooms or on-site.

4.3 Behaviour and Safety
RKL Swims enforces a behaviour policy that includes verbal warnings and further action as needed. Running is not permitted in the pool or changing areas. All members must adhere to safeguarding policies, including Child Protection, Anti-Bullying, and Anti-Racism.

4.4 Facility Rules
No shoes on the poolside. Smoking is prohibited. Parents/guardians must remain in the building during lessons.

5. Newsletter and Marketing Communications

5.1 Subscription
By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive email updates about lessons, promotions, and RKL Swims news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the emails.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership
All website content, including logos, images, text, and software, belongs to RKL Swims or its licensors.

6.2 Limited Licence
You are granted a limited, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or alter our content without written permission.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

7.1 Disclaimer
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free services.

7.2 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RKL Swims shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. Updates will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the courts of England and Wales.
