At RKL Swims, we’ve always believed that swimming is so much more than just a sport. It’s a life-saving skill, a confidence builder, and for many, a gateway to lifelong wellbeing. But here’s the catch: not everyone gets the chance to learn.

Across the UK, and especially here in Wales, too many people still face barriers to accessing swimming lessons. Whether it’s cost, location, accessibility, or confidence, the result is the same: children and adults missing out on an essential life skill.

Well, we’ve decided that’s just not good enough.

Or, as we like to say: “If Plaid Cymru can't/won’t, we will!” 😉

Our mission is simple: to make swimming accessible and affordable for everyone across the UK, starting right here in Wales. Inclusivity isn’t a buzzword for us; it’s the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re a nervous beginner, a confident swimmer looking to improve, or someone who’s been told “you can’t” because of a disability, at RKL Swims, we’ll prove that you can.

Every penny of this funding is being poured (quite literally) back into the water; building opportunities, confidence, and communities.
