Building More Than a Pool — Building Opportunity for Everyone
At RKLSwims, we’ve always believed swimming is more than just a life skill.
It’s confidence. It’s safety. It’s freedom.
But the truth is… not everyone gets equal access to that opportunity.
And that’s where Project: Inclusivity & Accessibility begins.
💭 Why This Matters
For many families, swimming isn’t always straightforward.
Whether it’s physical accessibility, confidence barriers, additional needs, or simply feeling like there isn’t a space designed for them, too many people are left on the outside looking in.
And that’s something we can’t ignore anymore.
“Swimming should never feel exclusive. It should feel open, welcoming, and built for everyone; because everyone deserves that opportunity.” - Kitchener, Founder of RKLSwims
🏗️ The Vision: Bynea, Llanelli
We’re planning something special.
A new facility in Bynea, Llanelli, designed with one clear mission:
👉 Put inclusivity and accessibility at the heart of everything.
This isn’t just about building another pool. This is about rethinking what a swim facility should feel like.
Imagine a space where:
♿ No-stair access removes physical barriers
🌊 The environment feels calm, welcoming, and supportive
💙 Every swimmer, regardless of ability, feels like they belong
Because when you remove barriers, something incredible happens… People start to believe they can.
🤝 Not Replacement — Support
We want to be clear about one thing.
This project is not here to replace Pentre Awel.
It’s here to support the community alongside it.
Because one facility alone that serves 300,000+ residents cannot meet every need, especially when it comes to accessibility and inclusivity.
This is about adding value, not taking anything away.
“This isn’t competition, it’s contribution. It’s about stepping up and giving the community more of what it clearly needs.” - Kitchener
📊 The Community Has Already Spoken
Before anything was announced widely, we quietly shared an interest form.
The response?
📊 250+ responses in under 72 hours
And that was just from Facebook and Instagram.
No school outreach. No events. No wider campaign.
Just a simple post… and a powerful reaction.
That tells us everything we need to know.
“When you see that level of response so quickly, it’s not just interest, it’s demand. It shows people have been waiting for something like this.” - Kitchener

🌟 More Than Swimming
This project goes far beyond lessons.
It’s about:
💪 Building confidence in children who may have struggled before
💙 Supporting families who need more flexible, inclusive options
🌊 Creating a space where everyone feels comfortable stepping into the water
Because the impact of swimming doesn’t stop at the poolside.
It carries into holidays, family days out, school trips…and into everyday confidence.
💬 Why Now?
Because the need is here. And it’s growing.
We’ve seen it firsthand. We’ve heard it from parents. And now, we’ve seen it in the numbers.
This isn’t just an idea anymore. It’s a response to a real, undeniable need within our community.
“If we have the opportunity to make a difference, a real difference, then why wouldn’t we?” - Kitchener
🚀 This Is Just the Beginning
Project: Inclusivity & Accessibility is more than a plan.
It’s a commitment. To the community. To our swimmers. To do things differently, and do them better.
Because everyone deserves the chance to feel confident in the water.
And we’re here to make that happen.
💙 RKLSwims — Building confidence. Creating opportunity. Changing lives through swimming.
